September seems a long time away but maybe you would like to plan a late summer festival not so far from Sheffield?
Break a Leg is playing at the Whitwell Festival of Music in Derbyshire. Here’s what it’s about:
Described by the Derbyshire Times as ‘Derbyshire’s best kept secret’, Whitwell Festival of Music is a community event in a village setting, now in its 7th year, getting bigger and better every time. Run by a small team of volunteers – Whitwell 4Ward – the festival has raised thousands of pounds for local causes. Featuring a wealth of musical talent across all genres – around 25 bands and artists over the weekend – the festival also offers a range of locally brewed real ales, ciders, value-for-money food, arts and music workshops and children’s activities. Camping is available (2 minutes walk away) but book quickly as it is very limited.
So we’d be very pleased if some of our friends came along, it looks like a brilliant event and all for charity.
All the information and tickets at the festival website. We will be playing at 1:30pm on the indoor stage on Saturday, in fact the opening spot for the main festival day, clearly they needed something special to get things moving.
