Break a Leg! and Ar Faoued
Once again Break a Leg! have teamed up with another musical partnership to celebrate the magic of musical collaborations.
We are big fans of Ar Faoued. Paul Chisnell’s great singing and percussion, Ady Hall’s firm underpinning with guitar, Irish bouzouki, and vocal harmonies and Rob Jourdain’s fine touch with violin and viola make for a beautiful combination and we are looking forward to sharing the evening with them.
Cafe Ceres is a new venue for Break a Leg! Having experienced the great atmosphere created for Ben Chapman’s ‘Holy Robots’ open mic evenings at the cafe, it feels like the ideal location for an intimate musical occasion, with more space than our previous events at Strip the Willow.
The cafe provides a bar and very good snacks from their chef Jean-Paul and the friendly staff work hard to make you welcome. If you haven’t tried it yet it’s a great place to enjoy lunch, coffee or tea at the interesting end of Ecclesall Rd and right by the even more interesting Sharrow Vale Rd. (NB the Kitchen is not open on Tuesdays but there will be excellent snacks available – platters of either hummus and crisps and crudités or cheese and meat one).
